Core Purpose
- Drive business growth within the offshore cargo logistics division by identifying new opportunities and supporting strategic business development initiatives.
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform growth strategies and increase market penetration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders to support revenue growth and long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging business opportunities that support strategic decision-making and business growth
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, target markets, and prospective customers using market research and commercial analysis.
- Support the development and implementation of business development strategies to achieve growth objectives, increase market share, and expand the company’s market presence.
- Generate and qualify new business leads by identifying prospective customers, partnership opportunities, and strategic growth prospects.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality proposals, presentations, and client pitches that effectively communicate the company’s capabilities and support the successful acquisition of new business.
- Conduct commercial and financial analysis to assess the viability, profitability, and potential return of new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, industry stakeholders, and internal teams to support collaboration, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive business growth.
- Monitor and report on business development performance against key KPIs, evaluating the effectiveness of activities, strategies, and initiatives to support continuous improvement.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate business development performance, insights, and progress against targets to management and key stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business development to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
QHSE Responsibilities
To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.
Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in business development, business analysis, or market research roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate successfully with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience using data analysis tools to support reporting and decision-making.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and business intelligence tools, with the ability to use data to support business development and decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and prioritisation skills to effectively manage competing deadlines.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively about business opportunities and challenges.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
