Core Purpose
OEG operates a fleet of windfarm support vessels (21-26m LOA) and is seeking an experienced and motivated Deck Hand.
The role includes deck operations alongside supporting basic engineering checks onboard.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Liaise closely with the Master/Mate on daily operational tasks.
Act as crane driver in line with certification and training.
Follow safe systems of work, including PPE and Permit to Work procedures.
Conduct mooring and cargo operations.
Assist with crane operations and deck equipment.
Undertake lookout, helm, and security duties as required.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks as directed.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards in machinery spaces.
QHSE Responsibilities
To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.
Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Skills and Experience
Navigational Watch Rating (or equivalent).
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Possesses a calm and professional manner.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Right to work in the UK and Frontier Worker Permit.
Qualifications
AEC 1 certification.
Valid STCW Basic Safety Training.
Valid Seafarer’s Medical certification.
Slinger Banksman certification dated within the last five years.
